A Purefit Testimonial: When I started in Purefit, I found it hard to go more than once a week. I had no interest in making any changes in my life. I constantly picked the unhealthy options. It was a vicious circle. I craved all the wrong foods, I never felt good about myself, so ate to make myself feel good. It made me feel worse. I had no energy, no confidence and lacked motivation to make the healthy choices. So when I went to Purefit, I was so nervous and could only manage to go once a week. I always dreaded going but funny enough I felt brilliant after the class. Slowly but surely I went twice a week and did that for a few months. I could feel the changes in my body and I was liking what I was seeing and feeling. Then I took the advice from Fiona and she told me to increase my classes. She knew I was able for it, so I did. She also told me to increase my weights, and suddenly the weight started to drop. I felt amazing. The inches just fell off, I was feeling great. A year later I feel great, it wasn't easy changing my bad habits but Fiona helped me with that too. I have lost so much weight and down a few dress sizes. I never believed it could happen. If anyone is afraid of taking that first step, don't be, it has changed my life and I'm never going back to eating bad food and not exercising. Go on try Purefit, it's my life now.
Purefit's Nutritional guide to Runamuck Exercise and Nutrition plays a major role in your preparation for any physical challenge. So ahead of Purefit Galway's #Runamuck Challenge tomorrow here are some tips! If you don’t refuel your body properly what happens next is poor concentration levels, mental alertness goes, fatigue sets in, blood sugar levels drop. In order to stop this from happening, we have to REFUEL, REPAIR, REHYDRATE. So water and nutrition are essential to your performance. The advice I usually give is to eat something before bed which helps refuel from the previous day and pre-fuel for the race the next morning. So just enough to sleep well. My favourite breakfast options: A bowl of porridge with skimmed milk and blueberries A Greek yoghurt and berries 2 egg scrambled with brown bread
Purefitters, as you all sleep tonight be safe in the knowledge, Runamuck lies ahead. This 5km is a fun, team building day out, all for one and one for all #TeamPurefit Now here is what you need: Old runners, warm and comfortable clothing to do the race in! A comfortable change of clothes There are no shower facilities so bring wipes Water and thick warm socks for afterwards A hoodie and perhaps oversize clothing for the bus home! Bring food to much on for the bus as well- sharing is caring so try and sit beside someone who has good food!! Bus leaves at 8:30am sharp so please be on time! Here is a visual of what we will look like come 1pm!
