If you don’t refuel your body properly what happens next is poor concentration levels, mental alertness goes, fatigue sets in, blood sugar levels drop. In order to stop this from happening, we have to REFUEL, REPAIR, REHYDRATE. So water and nutrition are essential to your performance. The advice I usually give is to eat something before bed which helps refuel from the previous day and pre-fuel for the race the next morning. So just enough to sleep well.
