Purefit Galway is making exercise and nutrition a daily habit for the people of Galway, the training facility which open two years ago has grown from strength to strength-with a move just this month to a 4,600 sq ft premises in the Liosban Industrial Estate. Born out of a love for exercise and nutrition education, Purefit Galway ticks all the boxes. It provides 40 classes a week, nutritional education and support and a 6 week program that will educate people on how to get the food/exercise balance in their lives. The fitness centre focuses on weight, body resistance and plyometric training with the traditional classes of spinning thrown into the mix. Purefit has specialised training areas which are all supported by the Pavi Gym Floor systems- this floor is built for gym training so it’s no slip, has grip and provides a spring, ideal for a squat jump! Purefit Trainer Fiona Fleming tells, “We have designed a class style that suits everyone from the absolute beginner to the experienced weight lifter, athlete and sports team enthusiast. Every class is adapted to who is in the class, so whatever your fitness levels you will be pushed and will see results and changes in your body. This is why the Purefit model works, both men and women come here and leave with a shared experience that only exercise can provide, that feeling of yes, I can achieve anything! These endorphins are what keep us training and what get us the bodies we want.” The Purefit class model sees the ‘Purefitters’ train in TRX, Kettlebells, Spinning, Boxercise, Kickboxing, and with free weights, bar bells. It is the combination of the weight training with body resistance that is allowing this model to work. Purefit has introduced Purefit Plymoterics and X-Fit, these are the most intense of the classes, but these are the ones that people are getting the most results from. Pylometric training is a form of High-intensity interval training (HIIT), alternating between intense bursts of activity and fixed periods of less-intense activity or even complete rest. This class will make you burn fat whilst also building muscle. There is no equipment in this class, just your body! Pure X-Fit is a 45-minute class with workouts that are constantly varied, effectively giving you a different workout each session. The workouts are generally a mix of barbells/Olympic lifting movements, kettlebells, metabolic conditioning and bodyweight movements. One of Purefit’s biggest success stories is the Purefit6 program which first began in Jan 2013, this program is a 6 week structured eating and exercise plan. It has seen phenomenal results with one Purefitter losing 40 pounds and 46 inches throughout the program. “Purefit6 isn’t about a quick fix, it’s about changing attitude to training and nutritional, and it achieves this with each participant. It’s about educating people about what they are eating whilst also getting them to fall in love with exercise, and fall they do,” remarks Fiona. Purefit Galway is all about exercise being accessible for everyone, their SixtyFit classes combine a fun, energizing programme that helps older adults take greater control of their health by encouraging physical activity. Offering three classes a week for adults over 60 years of age and at all fitness level that focus on total body strength and conditioning for improving function for daily living, social and educational activities, SixtyFIt is an all rounder. You can train with Purefit for just €9 per class or join for unlimited classes for 4 weeks.Check out the Purefit timetable at, www.purefit.ie, facebook/purefitgalway, on twitter@purefitgalway or phone 0876743616.
