Low GI version
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups oats (Gluten free)
1 cup nonfat milk
1 teaspoon baking powder (optional)
4 large egg whites
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (I use more)
Directions
Heat milk or water until hot. Add oats & set aside
Mix remaining dry ingredients & add to oatmeal mixture
Fold in egg whites and mix until well blended. I use my blender for a smoother batter; but that is optional! The batter is thick; depending on how long the oats have soaked you may want to add a little water to thin it out.
Cook on a nice hot pan!
You can add nuts, blueberries or protein powder! or use the following to top it such as natural peanut butter, sliced bananas & agave syrup!
Gluten Free Version
Ingredients
100 grams of gluten free flour (Doves self raising flour Gluten free)
120ml of low fat milk
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon xylobrit (natural) kind to waistline and teeth too
Blend everything in food processor
Option 1
Serve with toasted almonds and fresh blueberries with a drizzle of agave syrup
Option2
Serve with strawberries and 2 spoons of o% fat greek yogurt
Option 3
Serve with a squeeze lemon and sprinkle of xylobrit
