FRESH START-BLOG DAY1 Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going. Day 1 has begun and I am feeling very enthusiastic and ready to start the day. I have done all my food shopping so I am prepared for the week and I have booked all my classes for the week. I have decided planning is going to be key to my weight loss. I begin my day with a glass of lemon and water and it went down very nicely indeed and then a boost juice a half an hour later which consisted of carrots, apples and some ginger. This looked very scary indeed but I got it down and it wasn’t too bad at all. For my mid morning break I had a handful of Brazil nuts, an apple and a half a cup of peppermint tea. I think I am really going to struggle without my cup of tea; peppermint tea is just not the same as a good cuppaL. But I am determined to go without the tea. Its 1pm and I couldn’t wait to tuck into my whole-wheat pita with mixed salad and grilled chicken. I usually have a pita but it is filled with humus and other nice things so today I am feeling a little hungry although it was tasty!!! It is going to be a long day I fear. By 4pm I am ready for my snack, a handful of pine nuts and some lovely blueberries. This keeps me going for my classes in the evening. I head into Fiona to get my measurements done and have my weigh in. Feeling very deflated and disappointment with the weight I have gained but ready for a fresh start. During my class I really struggled today and felt very tired. I usually don’t start until Tuesday with classes so this has been a big wakeup call. I did feel great after though. Home now for some vegetable stir fry and some brown rice and I actually don’t feel as hungry as I normally would when I come out of my classes. I dig into my stir fry and there is plenty of flavour so I really enjoyed it. Throughout the day I have kept a bottle of water with me so I have my 2 litres of water finished by about 9pm. I go to bed and reflect on my day, the weigh in was difficult but the food went well overall. I am hoping I will have a lot more energy and I am really going to give this plan a good go!!!!
